Event Settings
Configure timezone, access controls, integrations, and feature flags for your event.
The Event Settings page contains your event’s operational configuration — timezone, access rules, external integrations, and feature toggles. Access it by selecting Event Settings from the sidebar under the Configuration section.
Timezone & Integrations
- Time Zone — select the timezone your event takes place in. This affects all scheduled push notification delivery times and the session times shown to attendees. Set this before scheduling any notifications.
- SalesForce Campaign ID — link your event to a Salesforce campaign for CRM synchronisation. Contact support to enable this for your account.
- External JSON URL — provide a URL to an external JSON feed to automatically import session and speaker data. Used for deep integrations with third-party event management platforms.
Visibility & Access
- Hidden — hide your event from the event list in the app. Keep this enabled while you are setting up, then disable it when you are ready for attendees to access the event.
- Code Entry — allow guests to self-register using a shared access code, without requiring a personal invitation. Your event’s unique code is shown next to this toggle.
Feature Flags
The following toggles control which features are active for attendees in your event app. All changes take effect immediately.
- Enable Meetings — show or hide the one-on-one meeting request feature, allowing attendees to schedule meetings with each other.
- Enable Chat — show or hide the in-app chat feature, including event support chat and direct messaging between attendees.
- Enable Feed — show or hide the event activity and news feed.
- Enable Schedule Customization — allow attendees to build and manage a personal schedule by bookmarking sessions from the full event schedule.
- Double Booking — when enabled, attendees can register for sessions that overlap in time. Disable this to prevent scheduling conflicts.
Tip
Feature flags let you tailor the attendee experience by enabling only the features that are relevant for your event.
Tips
- Set your Time Zone before scheduling any push notifications to avoid unexpected delivery times.
- Use Hidden to keep your event private while you configure it, then make it visible when ready.
- Disable Enable Chat and Enable Feed for focused, content-driven events where social features are not needed.
- Enable Double Booking only if your programme intentionally allows attendees to be in multiple sessions simultaneously (e.g. workshops with open entry).
